Our name Sunquilla is a combination of the Sun and the Moon and in our eyes represents a balance of yin and yang, the holistic order of nature and our planet.The name comes originally from the Incas who worshipped the Sun – known as Inti and the Moon – known as Quilla. Quilla was the name given to the moon goddess. Ancient legends say the Sun – Inti and his wife Mama Quilla gave birth to the Earth.
At Sunquilla we liked the name and felt it reflected a balance of all things and as we believe in looking after our body, mind and spirit while also honouring the earth and treating it with the respect we should show ourselves, we felt it was a beautiful and fitting name.
